CIFAR Global Scholars A two-year appointment designed to support young investigators in select fields. Each scholar receives $100,000 in research support, a two-year appointment to a CIFAR research program, and special training. Please notify Danelle D'Alvise  of your intent to apply; CIFAR deadline May 23, 2017

 E.W.R. Steacie Memorial Fellowship (NSERC) University officials must screen the nominations and are allowed to forward up to six nominations that are demonstrably outstanding. All interested parties should contact , Assistant Director, Development in ROADS of their intention to apply for this Fellowship.  Final submission deadline to NSERC is June 7, 2017  

The Killam Prizes are awarded to active Canadian scholars who have made a substantial and significant contribution to their respective fields in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, health sciences or engineering. Up to five prizes of $100,000 each (one prize per discipline). Please notify Danelle D'Alvise  of your intent to apply; Canada Council for the Arts deadline June 15, 2017. 

The Steacie Prize is a $10,000 prize awarded annually to a young scientist or engineer for outstanding scientific research carried out in Canada. Please notify Danelle D'Alvise  of your intent to apply; sponsor deadline June 30, 2017

Danelle can help facilitate the nomination process and determine if, in some cases, an internal competition needs to be held to select an institutional nominee. We'd also like to hear from you if you are planning to submit a nomination so that nomination activity can be effectively and confidentially tracked.
